민우식은 미국의 크랜브룩 예술 아카데미에서 건축학 석사를 취득하고, 십여 년 간의 실무 수련을 거쳐 2011년 서울 서촌에 민 워크샵이라는 건축공방을 설립하였다. 첨단 기술과 유행에 편승하지 않고 작은 건축에 집중하며 직관과 보편적 해결 방법 사이에서 균형을 찾는 것을 작업의 목표로 삼는다.
주요 작업으로는 오목한 집 (2015), 둥근지붕 집 (2017), 카페 톤 (2019), 사선의 집 (2019), 이스트밸리 다목적홀 (2020), 아리지 빌딩 (2020) 등이 있으며, 두라스택 사옥으로 2019년 건축가 협회상을, 카페 바하리야로 2022년 건축가 협회상을 수상하였다.
